We meet monthly usually the 3rd Monday at 7. We come together for an evening of fellowship and dessert.
This year our devotion is women of the Bible. We are using 6 evil and 6 good ladies.
Ladies Circle also does mission projects. Last year at Christmas, we adopted a woman and male resident from the nursing home. We plan to do that again. We have sent iv covers, for infants and kids, to CAMC Women's and Children's Hospital.
We have secret sisters. We draw for them in Dec or Jan. Small gifts can be bought for your secret sisters on holidays, birthday and anniversary.
The Ladies Circle met on February 17th for their monthly meeting. Becky Gilbar drove the van for the ladies in the Craigsville area, while those in the Summersville area drove themselves, to El Banditos Mexican Restaurant where some discussion was held and a wonderful meal was enjoyed along with incredible fellowship. We made plans to have another Mother’s Day Ladies meeting with a special speaker and the meal to be prepared by the men. The details will be finalized in the next meeting. It was also decided that in the future, our meetings will be held at 6pm rather than 7pm, still on the 3rd Monday of the month.
After dinner, we all packed up and went to the Summersville Health Care Center to visit with Pam Miller. We found her in good spirits and her health seemed to be improving. She was excited that we came to spend time with her. In fact, we were all having such a good time visiting that we completely forgot to take pictures! This won’t be our last visit so there will be time for pictures in the future.
Next meeting March 17th 6pm—St. Patrick’s Day — Wear green**
There are many blessings,
that each new Spring brings
you can see it bloom about
and hear the song it sings.
With winters bleakness over,
and brighter days ahead
comes promises of new life
Springtime loves to spread.
As God unfolds the flowers,
and their buds begin to show
He gives to us the assurance
grace in our hearts will grow.
He sends us the robin’s song,
with the promise to provide
a shelter under His mighty wing
where in His love we can abide.
He melts the snowy covers,
and sends the refreshing rain
sprinkling us with His mercies
to heal winter’s ache and pain.
God has given to all His Son,
to shed upon us a new light
and the real blessing of Spring . . .
is keeping Jesus in our sight!
