Are you feeling like you could do more for the Lord? There are always jobs within the church that need to be done. If you’re just wanting to help in a small way, there are things that need done. If you start small, it’s so much easier to move into other things down the road.
We are still in need of nursery workers. Sometimes we don’t have any children in nursery, so if that’s your day you don’t even go to the nursery. Sometimes it’s only one or two children. Very seldom do we have many to watch. The more volunteers we have the less days you spend working in the nursery. And…. You can watch Worship Service on the TV in the nursery. See Diana Meadows to sign up to help.
Another thing the church is in need of is people to ride along with the van driver. No special skills are required but it’s a huge help to the driver. You may need to send a text for the driver regarding a pick up or ask some kids to settle down but honestly that’s about all that’s needed. It’s not a hard job but it’s a very important job and we need you. See Tim Cole or Beverly McCutcheon to find out more.
We also need helpers with the audio/visual team. If that's something that interests you, see Mandi Adkins for more information!
In case you weren't able to make it to church this week or just want to listen to preaching or singing again, here's the links directly to the services from this week!
Hello to my church family. I know what you are thinking, shoebox information already??? Well, as you know, this past year when it came time to pack shoeboxes, we were running low on lots of items. So, for this year, I decided to challenge myself as my New Year’s resolution to purchase at least 20 items a month. (I probably have already purchased a few months’ worth!) I am now challenging you to set a number for yourself. It can be 1 to 100 or more! We will be so happy to accept any number of items, (or monetary gifts for us to shop)! I will be placing a box at the bottom of the stairs as you enter the church. My hope is that it overflows with items and I have to take them to our storage room!
There will be a suggestion list by the box. As always, thank you church for your support of our Samaritans Purse ministry.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1John 4:10 (KJV)
In this verse, John explains that the true meaning of love is what God feels for us. He loved us long before we knew anything about Him. He sent Jesus to atone for our sins so we could have a relationship with Him. Let’s look at how this definition of love affects the way we live today.
The Lord loved us even when we were far from Him. Think about your life before you knew Jesus. How did you live? How has your life changed since you’ve known him? Before you ever surrendered your life to Him, God loved you. All along, even when you were unaware, He was moving and orchestrating your salvation because of His love for you.
This is encouraging to us also because we know that the Lord loves who are far from Him, as well as those who are near. The people for whose salvation we have prayed are loved dearly by the Lord. He has not forgotten any of us and He loves each person including those who reject Him. We are all his creations and He loves each of us. Before we even knew the name Jesus, God loved us.
The Lord does not passively love. He sent His son to die for us so we could have a relationship with Him. Thank about that: a relationship with us was worth God’s own son undergoing a horribly painful death and separation from Him. Jesus loved us enough to willingly go to the cross.
Think about how valuable you are to the Lord. He loved you even when you did not love Him in return. You are loved by the Lord more than you love those who are close to you and more than you even love yourself. Rest knowing that you are valued beyond measure by the One who created you.

Outdoor Resurrection Drama
Believe it or not, Easter is right around the corner. Spring is coming and it’s time to prepare for the Resurrection Drama. Practice will be starting soon, preparations are already being made. If you want to participate and you never have before, this would be the perfect time. See Pastor Tyler for details if you’re interested in helping. Also, if you participated last year and want to continue to do so, let Pastor Tyler know. For those of you who don’t like the cold weather, Easter is later this year, so the weather should be perfect!
