Welcome to Youth Central!
You're probably wondering what all goes on here. Well, let me tell you! The youth group has lots of fun. We meet every Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the Lighthouse. We have our opening and then break up into our middle and high classes. We learn abot different things, not just the same Bible stories over and over again. We learn about things that teens face in their every day lives. We learn about things that are important to you!
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month we have game night. For July, we had a pool party and for August we had a rock, paper, scissors showdown! Both were a blast. For September, we're planning a shopping trip for our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Project. The leaders here are pretty cool too! Their names are Richard, Ashley, Diana, Roger, Tim, Gary, and Patrick.
We also have classes for the smaller kids too! They have tons of fun with their teachers and when they're done with their lesson, they get to play either in the gym or on the playground, everyone always enjoys Youth group, no matter how old they are! Click here to learn more about those classes!
This group of teens recently won the “frozen tee shirt contest” on game night for the Wednesday night youth. What is a “frozen tee shirt contest” you may ask. I had to ask, too, and this is what Richard Ramsey told me. The leaders wet two tee shirts (or more), wad them up and place them in the freezer to freeze solid. Next they divide the kids into two groups, or more depending on attendance. The group who gets their shirt straightened out and put onto someone first wins the game!!
Church, be thankful every day for these youth leaders! They are taking the time to not only teach our kids about Jesus but to also have fun with them; making their day at church special.

This month our featured young person is Rylee Spittler. Rylee is 18 and a senior at Nicholas County High School and is the daughter of Rob and Carrie Spittler. She has been a member of the JROTC for 4 years now and Art Classes for 3 years. As for plans after graduation, Rylee plans to look for a job locally and she hopes to have a story published one day.
Rylee enjoys spending time in the summer swimming and riding her bike. She really is not a sports fan but loves animals; especially opossums. She has 2 dogs and 1 mean cat.
As for her favorite thing about attending Little Union, Rylee says she enjoys being around kids her own age who love the Lord.

Nothing planned right now, come back soon!
Sometimes when kids leave home for the first time for school, it can be a big adjustment. College Student Pen Pals was established to help ease that transition and make it a little easier to adjust to adult life for those students. Any student can sign up and can participate.
We understand students may be busy during the semester and may not be able to write back to letters, cards and emails received. That's okay. The point of the program is encouragement and letting the students know they have people in their corner. If you are a college student or a parent who has a college student that would be interested in signing up, please click the button below to get started!
